The French Bulldog is a small size, compact, though well-proportioned and powerful dog. Its head and puzzle is square, snob faced and roll-up nose, dark eyes and rounded raised ears (as a bat) with short neck and no double chin. Its expression is always lively, sympathetic and with a particular aesthetic physiognomy, what makes it an almost exclusive animal.
Its legs are short and bones are robust. It has a wide chest, and the height to the cross is 25 to 34 centimeters.
The French Bulldog has short, tight, bright and smooth fur. Anyway, you must see it to admire its kindness.
The color may vary. There are some uniformly fawn or caramel(lion-like); brindle (tiger-like), or with limited white patches (pied or little cow). All variations of fawn are accepted, from red to beige (cafe au lait). Size and weight: A good specimen must not weigh less than 8 kilos, neither more than 14. The size is proportional to the weight.
